Meet Stephanie

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist. I believe that play is a child’s first language and how they most naturally express themselves.
Before beginning my practice, I worked as an elementary school counselor for 20 years. The majority of my school counseling experience has been spent serving the Austin community. I began my career as a special education teacher and have a strong interest in supporting neurodivergent children and their families navigate school settings.
I have a Masters of Arts degree in Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio. I am particularly interested in the approaches of Autplay, Nature Based Play, and Expressive Therapies. I serve on the board of directors of the Association for Play Therapy Texas Hill Country Chapter as their Recording Secretary (2022-current)
